Changelog
Recent updates, new features, and improvements to MyVeggieGarden.
What's new in MyVeggieGarden — recent updates and improvements.
April 2026
- Public garden pages redesigned — Your
/s/:usernameshare page got a clean profile hero, the same tan backdrop as the planning view, and shared zone cards so what you see on/planis exactly what visitors see. Signed in as the garden owner? You can add plantings, edit notes, and remove rows inline without leaving the page. - Shared planting rows across planning and sharing — Extracted a single
ZoneCardV2component used by both/planand/s/:username. Improvements to planting rows (including the restored external-link icon for plants with a more-info URL) now land on both views automatically. - Multi-provider authentication — Sign in with Google, Apple, or email magic link. Choose what works for you.
- Frost zone lookup — Enter your zip code and the app suggests your USDA hardiness zone and last frost date automatically.
- Auth reliability improvements — Fixed race conditions in the sign-in flow for smoother first-time setup.
March 2026 (late)
- AI-native onboarding — New users get a conversational setup wizard: quick-pick plant cards, voice-first garden setup, and step-by-step zone creation.
- Unified planting drawer — Replaced the old timeline scrubber and log panel with a single drawer showing the full picture: timeline, logs, tasks, supports, and Ask AI — all in one place.
- Ask AI in the drawer — Ask questions about any planting and get answers grounded in your own logs and data.
- Log-to-task sync — Creating a log entry that matches a pending task automatically completes it. No more double-entry.
- Redesigned /plan layout — The planning page is now the daily hub (replaces /garden). Three-column layout with kraft paper aesthetic, responsive on mobile.
- My Plants scrapbook — The plant library page is now a card-based scrapbook layout showing your garden history beautifully.
- Mobile-responsive planning — The plan page stacks columns on mobile with horizontal pill navigation for a full planning experience on your phone.
- Task completion redesign — Click a task to expand a planting log form inline, keeping you in flow.
- Zone card redesign — Cleaner header actions, notes in the footer, and easier zone management.
